Pregnant women who eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of god water have a significantly reduced risk of preterm delivery. Due in part to today’s processed food and fast food diet, childbirth delivery before 37 weeks of pregnancy are accomplished, accounts for almost 75% of all newborn deaths and is associated with significant bad health problems. Many studies show that a mother’s dietary habits directly affect the unborn child. Analyzing some 66,000 births, a recent study found 5.3% of them were preterm births. The study team also determined that a high fruit and vegetable diet significantly reduced preterm as well as late term delivery risks. Love your baby before it is born – eat right!
Distracted walking logs more ER injuries per mile than distracted driving. Texting and walking brings sometimes not-so-comical bumping into walls, falling down stairs, tripping over clutter and even stepping into traffic. Did you know that this issue is so common in London that special bumpers were placed on light posts to prevent walking texters from slamming into them? Walking is actually highly complex activity involving over two hundred muscles at once. Talking on the phone can be distracting enough but texting while walking takes both your mind and your eyes off of the path in front of you. Thousands of texting pedestrians are treated in emergency rooms across the nation each year – that is, counting only the ones who aren’t too embarrassed to admit to it.

A recent JAMA study had participants handle receipts continuously for 2 hours without gloves. They were then tested and found to have an increase in urine levels of the endocrine-disrupting bisphenol A (BPA). Exposure to BPA is associated with adverse health outcomes, including neurodevelopmental problems in children and both thyroid and reproductive function in adults. The biggest exposure to BPA comes through the diet and the consumption of canned foods. The paper connection comes through exposure through the skin from thermal receipt paper common in supermarkets, ATM machines, gas stations, and many other settings. Thermal paper has a BPA coating for the receipt printing process that is absorbed by way of the skin with handling. Even people with no BPA urine levels had it after handling thermal receipts.

If you think your doctor’s hands might be germy if they didn’t scrub up before your exam, you should check the stethoscope! Studies show that healthcare workers’ hands are the main source of bacterial transmission in hospitals. A new Mayo Clinic Proceedings shows that stethoscopes can harbor several thousands of bacteria types including MRSA. And this comes in direct contact with the skin of patient after patient in the course of a single day. Don’t be embarrassed to ask your doctor if they have washed their stethoscope before it touches you. If the doctor objects, fire them because the stethoscope’s diaphragm is more contaminated than all regions of the physician’s hand except the fingertips. Furthermore, the tube of the stethoscope is often more heavily contaminated than the back of the physician’s hand.
The latest research reveals another depressing fact: suicidal thoughts, sexual dysfunction and emotional numbness resulting from anti-depressant use may be more widespread than previously thought – much more! This latest university shocker found that over half of medication takers reported suicidal feelings, 62% reported sexual difficulties and 60% were feeling emotionally numb. Professor John Read from the Institute of Psychology, Health and Society, says: “The medicalization of sadness and distress has reached bizarre levels… While the biological side-effects of antidepressants, such as weight gain and nausea, are well documented, the psychological and interpersonal effects have been largely ignored or denied.” These numbers are NOT what Big Pharma reported to get these drugs approved. We’ve been out-and-out lied to peeps.
What have strawberries done for you lately? Study volunteers ate just over a pound of strawberries every day for a month to see what this would do to their blood parameters. One month later, their bad cholesterol and triglycerides reduced significantly, the general plasma lipid profile, antioxidant biomarkers, antihemolytic defences and even the platelet function all improved. Eating strawberries also protects against UV radiation, reduces alcohol damage to the gastric mucosa, strengthens red blood cells, and improves the antioxidant capacity of the blood. Strawberries are simply loaded with anthocyanins, the health-giving, antioxidant pigments that make them red. Buy them organic to avoid loading your body up with pesticides!
Would you rather be X-rayed or micro-waved? Uh, how about neither! The TSA now tells you that the new machines are not X-ray anymore, so they are safe. But I haven’t had an agent yet tell me how these new terahertz “microwave” (ovens IMO) machines can fire off electromagnetic radiation at your body and not harm you in any way. These waves go through your clothes and project a naked, 3-D image of you or your child to some agent behind a computer screen. While the X-ray backscatter machine uses two radiation sources for the front and the back, the new millimeter wave scanner has two big stacks full of disc-shaped electromagnetic transmitters in the “radome” that pivot 180 degrees. BTW, there have been no human studies on the effects of terahertz bombardment and how they are known to unzip DNA. How many times have the experts told us something was safe to later find out it was dangerous after all?

So, following the U.S. government’s lead, Japanese officials shoved a nationwide HPV vaccination program on junior high schools. Almost immediately, health officials were flooded with 1,968 documented adverse events pouring in. Parents sent videos of their daughters suffering from walking disturbances, seizures and body tics. Some cases reported girls fell to the floor, resulting in head injuries and fractures. Japan’s health officials then sent formal notifications to discontinue the HPV vaccine. What did American health officials do? Within weeks, the Obama administration dedicated $1.2 million to ‘increase HPV vaccine uptake in low income ethnic minority populations’. The problems associated with Gardasil are only getting worse and Americans are fools.
The lie that butter is bad for you and margarine is good has been circulating for more than 50 years. That is, ever since all saturated fat was wrongly declared a precursor to heart disease. Scientific and nutritional studies have long-since debunked not only the link between saturated fat and heart disease, but also the myth that butter is bad for you. Butter (let’s go with grass-fed, organic butter here) is rich in nutrients that increase the body’s metabolism, transport other nutrients, vitamins, hormones and minerals, protect the digestive system, and actually lower the risk for serious illness. A study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that whole, natural butter reduced the risk of heart disease by 69% and synthetic margarine actually increased heart disease risk!
Hex your health with canola oil:
One reason that canola oil is not good for you is that it ALL goes through a chemical “deodorizing” processing to remove the “stink” of rapeseed. Want to hex your health? Eat some canola oil made with hexane. Hexane is actually a gasoline vapor used to process oils since around World War II. So how is canola organic? It’s NOT… Canola oil doesn’t come from any natural plant named “canola”. It actually stands for “Canada Oil”. The touted omega-3 fatty acids that show up in processed canola oil are chemically transformed during the deodorizing process into trans-fatty acids. These monster trans-fatty acids are actually unsuitable for human consumption and contain a very-long-chain fatty acid called erucic acid, which is associated with fibrotic heart lesions. Did you know that in 1985, the FDA outlawed canola oil in infant formulas because it retarded growth? How is this even good for you?? Avoid it like the plague it is.
